What is DRS?
For each bottle or can you buy, you pay a 0.50 lei SGR deposit. It's not a tax. It's your money and you get it back in full when you take the empty packaging to a return point.
How it works
- Order from NegoStore. On the product page and in the cart, you'll see the deposit displayed separately, 0.50 lei for each package.
- Consume the product and keep the packaging intact, with the label and SGR mark visible. Do not crush it.
- Take it to any return point: a store, a return machine, or a manual point.
- You'll receive 0.50 lei back for each package, in cash or as a voucher, depending on what the specific point offers.
For which packaging is a deposit paid
The deposit applies to non-reusable primary packaging made of glass, plastic, or metal, with volumes between 0.1 and 3 liters, for water, soft drinks, beer, cider, wine, and spirits. Basically, for everything we sell.
How many deposits does a cocktail kit have
A kit contains several bottles, so each bottle in it pays a deposit. If a kit has three bottles, the deposit is 3 x 0.50 lei. You can see the exact number on the kit page, below the price.
Why there is no VAT
The deposit is not the equivalent value of a product or service, but an amount that you recover. That's why it's not included in the tax base and appears on the invoice as a separate line, without VAT.
Where you can return
You can take the packaging to any return point in the country, regardless of where you bought the product. You don't have to return to the store where you ordered it.
